Lexey Tobel added 11 as the University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team dropped an 81-64 contest to Toledo in historic Calihan Hall on Thursday evening.
It was the seventh 20-point game of the year for Cohen as she was 7-of-11 from the field and 7-of-9 at the free throw line along with grabbing four rebounds and recording two assists and two steals. She scored 20 of her 21 points after the halftime break.
Detroit Mercy was down, 49-29, with 4:11 left in the third when the Titans went on a 10-0 run to slice the deficit in half. Sophomore

Anja Marinkovic came up with a steal and finished it off with a layup. Sophomore

Lola Ristovski each split a pair of free throws and Cohen added two baskets in the post, and the Titans were within 10, 49-39, with just over a minute left in the period.
Free throws in the final minute by Cohen and Ristovski and the Titans were behind by just 10, 53-43, entering the fourth stanza.
The 20-9 spurt by Detroit Mercy continued in the final stanza as Cohen trimmed the Toledo advantage to nine, 56-47, with 7:55 left in the game, beating her defender again inside for another basket.
Toledo was able to hold off the Titan charge despite the post play of Cohen and Miller down the stretch.
Senior
Nicole Urbanick ended the contest with nine points and a team-high seven rebounds. Ristovski had seven points and five rebounds and Miller finished with a career-best nine points.
The Titans shot 41.5 percent from the field (22-for-53) and forced 11 Toledo turnovers.
Detroit Mercy had an early lead as Tobel knocked down a three and a free throw from Cohen made the score 4-2. Toledo came back with seven-straight points and eventually pushed its lead to double-digits, 22-11, late in the first.
The lead grew to as many as 14, but Tobel – who had nine points in the first on three 3-pointers – connected on a triple with 34 seconds left and the Titans trailed 25-14 after 10 minutes.
The Rockets extended their advantage to as many as 15 before heading into the break with a 36-23 lead. Tobel had 11 at the break, while Urbanick had nine points and four rebounds.
