DAYTON, Ohio (2/8/2018) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team was unable to maintain a strong first-half effort, falling on the road at Wright State on Thursday, 85-55.

Three Titans scored in double figures during the contest, led by freshman Lexey Tobel's 13 points. Sophomore Zoey Oatis added 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting, while junior Lola Ristovski tallied a season-high 10 points for the red, white and blue.

Detroit Mercy played well in the opening half, using a 14-4 run during the latter part of the second quarter to pull to within four points, 29-25. Oatis, who had eight points and three steals in the first half, opened the run with a lay-up with 3:25 left in the quarter. After Tobel sank a long jumper, senior guard Nicole Urbanick drilled a 3-pointer from the wing.

Ristovski then made five consecutive free throws as she was fouled in the paint and then on a 3-point shot the next time down the court. Urbanick added another free throw with eight seconds left in the second quarter to close out the 14-4 run.

Wright State made a bucket just before the halftime buzzer, however, to take a 31-25 lead at the break. The Titans held WSU to 31-percent shooting in the first half, while making 39-percent of their shots in the opening 20 minutes.

The Raiders opened the second half on a big run to take command of the game. Tobel sank all six of her free-throw attempts in the second half, scoring nine of her team-high 13 points in the final 20 minutes.

Senior forward Brianne Cohen nabbed three rebounds in the contest and moved past the 500-rebound mark in her Titan career. She became just the eighth Titan in school history to record 1,300 points and 500 boards, surpassing the plateau on Thursday.

Urbanick made two of the six Titan triples and moved closer to the all-time 3-point mark. With her 228 career treys, she's just three triples shy of the career mark of 231, held by Senee Shearer and four 3-pointers away from breaking the record.

Oatis finished the game with three steals, while junior guard Gracie Roberts had a team-high four assists. Ristovski had a team-high five boards.

Detroit Mercy shot 39.1 percent in the contest, sinking 18-of-46 shots from the floor. The Titans were 13-of-18 from the free throw line (72 percent). The Raiders shot 43 percent from the field and made 19-of-24 foul shots (79 percent).
