Basketball Camp for Special Needs Players Set for June 20

DETROIT (5/9/2019) -- The ninth annual Basketball Camp for Special Needs Players is set for Thursday, June 20 inside historic Calihan Hall. Hosted by the Titan Athletic Club and sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield, the one-day clinic costs just $15 and includes a Camp T-Shirt and a trophy presented by Butzel Long.

The camp is designed for special needs players 12 and older to learn and develop basketball skills, working with the Titan basketball coaches, players and alumni. All abilities are welcome to the camp and parents/guardians are welcome and encouraged to stay for the duration of the event.

Registration for the camp opens at 8:30 a.m. with the camp running from 9 a.m. to noon. The deadline to sign up is Tuesday, June 18, just two days before the camp. Interested families and participants may also inquire about camp sponsorships to help offset the costs.

For further information, please contact the Director of Athletic Administration John Hitchings via email at hitchijk@udmercy.edu or by phone at 313-993-1700 (ext. 7331).

Interested families and participants may sign up by visiting the Titan Department of Athletics at Calihan Hall or by mailing to attached flyer linked above to:
