DETROIT (1/11/2020) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team knocked down 11 3-pointers against visiting Green Bay on Saturday, with four different players hitting multiple triples, but the Titans dropped a 65-48 game with the Phoenix from Calihan Hall.

Aly Reiff added eight points for the red, white and blue. Senior
Zoey Oatis had a team-high nine rebounds.
The Titans could not get their shot to fall early as Green Bay took a 23-6 lead after the first quarter, however, the two teams played evenly the final three stanzas with each squad scoring 42 in the final 30 minutes. Detroit Mercy shot 41.7 percent after the first quarter, hitting 10 of its 11 treys.
McCormick drilled the first triple of the game late in the first quarter and then early in the second quarter Shears and McCormick made back-to-back 3-pointers. The Titan defense held Green Bay to just 1-of-12 shooting from beyond the arc in the opening half but Detroit Mercy trailed at the halftime break, 33-16.
Corcoran nailed her first of three second-half 3-pointers early in the third quarter and midway through the frame, Reiff knocked down her lone 3-pointer of the contest off a feed from McCormick. Starks added another 3-pointer before the end of the third quarter as Detroit Mercy was down 14, 45-31, with 2:06 left in the stanza.
Starks and Shears connected on triples within 57 seconds of each other and then sophomore forward
Alex Burr scored on a lay-up off a feed from classmate Shears as Detroit Mercy trimmed the Green Bay advantage to 55-39 with 6:30 left. McCormick knocked down her third 3-pointer of the game later in the stanza and Corcoran connected on a pair of deep balls in the final 90 seconds of the contest. The Titans made 5-of-8 triples in the final 10 minutes, shooting 50-percent from the floor overall.
The Detroit Mercy defense held Green Bay to 35.8-percent shooting in the contest, including just 2-of-19 from outside of the arc. Green Bay held a 49-35 rebounding advantage. The red, white and blue assisted on 14 of its 16 field goals in the game with Starks dishing out a career-high four dimes.
Oatis had nine rebounds one game after a 12-rebound performance and sank both of her field goal attempts. Reiff was 3-of-5 from the floor, while Corcoran sank 3-of-6 shots (all 3-pointers). The Titans were 11-of-32 from beyond the 3-point arc (34.4 percent), hitting 31.4 percent of their shots overall (16-of-51).
Karly Murphy led Green Bay with 16 points, while Hailey Oskey added 11 points.
