BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (10/16/2021) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's cross country team had one final meet before the postseason as the Titans took part in Bowling Green's Falcon Invitational on Saturday morning.
The 6k race - the first of the system of that distance for the squad - was held at the Bowling Green XC Course with the red, white and blue taking seventh with 159 points.
Junior
Allison Sherman led the way placing 16th in 23:58.
Graduate senior
Rebecca Arnold was 29th in 24:13, while freshman
Evie Wright claimed 48th in 24:55 in her first 6k race.
Junior
Kaitlin Murray crossed the finish line in 25:11 for 54th and junior
Josie Arnold was the fifth member of the scoring team placing 82nd in 29:18.
Sophomore
Lily Green ran 31:13 for 85th and cross country newcomer senior
Taylor Tomman tallied a time of 31:25 for 86th.
The Titans will now have two weeks to get ready for the Horizon League Championships which is set for Oct. 30 in Carmel, Indiana.
