Rebecca Measel tallied a second-place finish and junior
Allison Sherman was top-20 as the University of Detroit Mercy women's cross country team had a split-squad weekend.
Measel was in Lansing on Friday as she claimed second in the 5k Lansing Invitational at Grand Woods Park in Lansing. She clocked a time of 19:10 for second-place honors, just two seconds shy of the winning spot.
Sherman posted a career-best 18:40 for 11th at the 5k Live in Lou Cross Country Classic at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park in Louisville.
That race also saw junior
Kaitlin Murray run a personal-best 19:18 for 54th and freshman
Evie Wright register a 19:38 for 76th.
The Titans will be back in action in two weeks as they compete in Bowling Green's Falcon Invitational on Oct. 16.
