Sydney Searcy scored 14 second-half points finishing with a team-high 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting, 1-for-2 from 3-point range while grabbing five rebounds and two steals as Detroit Mercy fell 87-52 to visiting IUPUI on Thursday night at Calihan Hall. Freshman
Emma Trawally Porta added eight points going 4-for-6 from the field with six rebounds and career-high four blocks. She has now tallied seven blocks in the last two games.

Daija Moses scored eight points going 2-for-2 from the free throw line on 3-of-7 shooting while grabbing a team-high eight rebounds. Sophomore
Lucia Fleta Robles also chipped in with eight points going 2-for-2 from the charity stripe.
After IUPUI (3-3, 1-2 HL) opened the game on a 11-2 run, Fleta Robles connected on her second jumper of the half as the Detroit Mercy (0-7, 0-3 HL) closed out the first quarter on an 8-3 run to pull within five points at 19-14 to end the first quarter.
However, the second quarter proved to be the difference as IUPUI opened on a 12-4 run and eventually out scored the Titans 25-6 overall to take a commanding 44-20 into halftime and never looked back. For the game, turnovers also proved to be costly as IUPUI posted 35 points off 30 Detroit Mercy turnovers while the Titans only had 14 points off 15 Jaguar turnovers.
