Titan Memory Podcast - Earl Cureton

DETROIT (2/21/2021) -- Throughout the 2020-21 season at halftime of the men's basketball games on WLQV 92.7 FM & 1500 AM FaithTalk Detroit, the Voice of the Titans Dan Hasty will chat with a former men's basketball alum about their time in the Motor City.

Part of the broadcast will be on the air, but then right after, you can catch the full interview on social media and right here for your home of the Titan Memory Podcast.

Today's Titan Memory Podcast is with Earl Cureton, who played two seasons as a Titan after transferring to the University from Robert Morris. He is a member of both school's Hall of Fame. After sitting out a year, he helped Detroit to a 36-19 in his two active campaigns, advancing to the NCAA Tournament in 1979. He averaged 20.0 points and 9.1 rebounds to lead the team in both departments in 1980. He also sits in ninth place on the all-time Titan list in blocks with 79. Following his junior campaign, he was selected in the third round of the 1979 NBA Draft by Philadelphia and went on to play on two league championship teams (Philadelphia in 1982-83 and Houston in 1993-94).
