DAYTON, Ohio (2/6/2021) – In the first race of the 2021 season, the University of Detroit Mercy men's cross country team had a top-10 finisher in veteran
Thomas Mueller. Mueller placed ninth overall with a time of 25:35 in the 8K race.
The red, white and blue participated in a tri-race consisting of Horizon League rival Wright State and Dayton as their opponents.
The Titans also had four other runners place in the top-25.
Kyle Foulk placed 19th with a time of 25:35 to break the top 20.
Following closely behind him was
Oscar Hernandez in 21st with a time of 27:27.
Oliver Daniel and
Ryan Schwab were the other two runners in the top-25. They finished 23rd and 25th with times of 27:44 and 28:08, respectively.
John Burke just missed the top-25, placing 27th overall with a time of 28:48.
Next on the docket for the Titans is a race being held at nearby rival Oakland on February 13.
