SOUTH BEND, Ind. (9/17/21) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's cross country team had six runners in the top 100 as the Titans competed in the 42nd Annual National Catholic Championships on Friday.
Overall, Detroit Mercy was ninth with 257 points on the 8k Burke Memorial Golf Course on the campus of Notre Dame.
Graduate senior
Thomas Mueller led the team with a time of 27:05 for 38th.
Graduate senior
Oliver Daniel was the next one in at 27:55 for 57th, while junior
Oscar Hernandez placed 61st in 28:02.
Freshman
Connor Joyce crossed the line in 28:24 for 79th and junior
Alexander Petlichkoff clocked a 28:27 for 81st. The final top 100 spot went to sophomore
Kyle Foulk who finished 85th in 28:36.
Detroit Mercy will now have a few weeks off before running in the Live in Lou Cross Country Classic on Oct. 2.
