SOUTH BEND, Ind. (9/17/21) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's cross country team had three runners in the top 50 as the Titans competed in the 42nd Annual National Catholic Championships on Friday.
Overall, Detroit Mercy was ninth with 236 points on the 5k Burke Memorial Golf Course on the campus of Notre Dame.
Junior
Allison Sherman led the team again as she was 29th in a time of 19:21, while graduate senior
Rebecca Measel was right behind her placing 38th in 19:27.

Kaitlin Murray missed her personal best by one second, clocking a time of 19:54 for 49th.
Freshman
Evie Wright registered a time of 20:20 for 65th, almost a minute faster than her collegiate debut a week ago, and sophomore
Olivia Kochevar was 129th in 22:46.
Freshman
Nina Pizzo took almost two minutes off her time for last week and posted a run of 23:02 for 135th and sophomore
Lily Green made her season debut and ran 24:27 for 158th.
Detroit Mercy will now have a few weeks off before running in the Live in Lou Cross Country Classic on Oct. 2.
