Janna Lewis made the most of her time off the bench against her former team scoring in double figures for the third consecutive game with 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting with three rebounds and two assists.

Akyia Baker added a career-best eight points going 3-for-5 from the field and 2-for-3 from the charity stripe with a pair of assists and rebounds. Freshman
Emma Trawally Porta posted a career-best five blocks while chipping in with four points and three rebounds. Sophomore
Lucia Fleta Robles also added five points while connecting on her second 3-pointer of the season.
The battle on the glass proved to be the difference as Detroit Mercy (0-15, 0-8 HL) entered the game ranking second in the Horizon League in offensive rebounds but only had four on the night. Conversely, NKU (10-3, 4-2 HL) grabbed 18 offensive boards which led to 26 second chance points. The Norse also held a 45-29 overall rebounding advantage. Defensively, the Norse also racked up 21-8 points off turnovers advantage which proved costly for the Titans.
After the Titans trailed by 10 points, 32-22, at the half, NKU outscored Titans 20-14 in the third quarter to take a commanding 16-point lead heading into the fourth. In the fourth quarter both teams got hot from the field shooting 8-for-15 from the field (53.3%).
