Johnson started the spurt with back-to-back layups and a three from Davis put the Titans ahead for good, 40-35. UIC made two free throws, but after that Johnson hit a three and Isiani connected on a triple and was fouled and his four-point play had the red, white and blue in front, 47-37, at the 16-minute mark.

Isiani would increase the lead to 13, 53-40, with 13:25 to go as he nailed a pair of 3-pointers and he also gave the Titans a lead of 14, 70-56, with a triple inside of five minutes.

Sophomore Lyle LeGreair had five points and three rebounds.

The Titans shot 48.3% from the field and 11-of-21 (52.4%) from three and held UIC to 34.5% from the field in the second half.
