ROCHESTER HILLS (10/29/22) -- Allison Sherman led the University of Detroit Mercy women's cross country team with a second place finish at the 2022 Horizon League Cross Country Championship as the Titans finished sixth as a team on Saturday.
Sherman earns First Team All-Horizon League honors for her efforts at the OU Cross Country course. Her time of 21:55.4 is good for 10th all-time in Titans history for the 6k.
The sixth place finish is tied for Detroit Mercy's second best finish since 2016, as they finished sixth in 2016 and fifth in 2021.
Other Titan Finishers
Kaitlin Murray secured another top-30 finish as she took 26th overall at 23:07.4, just three seconds off from her personal record.
Evie Wright was just behind Murray at 23:15.5 for 31st overall.
Ayva Schmalz rounded out Titans harriers in the top-50 as the rookie finished in 24:06.5 for 45th overall.
With a new personal record of 25:14.8,
Josie Arnold finished 78th.
Katie Anderla (25:24.1) and
Nina Pizzo (28:16.3) were the other Titans finishers at 84th and 102nd respectively.
