In the first quarter, Bowling Green (5-1) opened with a full-court press and outscored Detroit Mercy (1-4) 20-11.
The second quarter proved to be the difference as the Falcons kept applying defensive pressure while outscoring the Titans 23-0 to take a commanding 43-11 lead at the half and never looked back.
The Titans broke the scoring drought in the third quarter scoring 12 points.
BGSU opened the fourth quarter on a 13-2 run and held the Titans to just six points in the frame en route to the win.
