MADISON, Wisc. (11/10/2023) -- Allison Sherman's illustrious cross-country career came to an end as the graduate senior posted a top-100 finish leading the University of Detroit Mercy at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships on Friday.
The Titans were 30th with 864 points at the 6k Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course on the University of Wisconsin campus.
Sherman was 85th in 22:01, giving her four of the top 15 6k times in school history, including third with the 21:28 she had at this year's Horizon League Championship. Sherman is also the 10th Titan to post multiple top-100 finishes at the GLR, and the first since Louisa Coppola in 2012 and 2013.
Junior
Evie Wright was 154th in 23:05, an improvement of 15 spots from last year's race, while freshman
Helana Napiorkowski was 210 in 24:35.
Senior
Katie Anderla clocked a time of 25:06 for 281th and junior
Nina Pizzo was 224th in 25:51 in her first regional run.
Freshmen
Alaina Burns posted a 26:16 time for 227th and
Abby Fifield was 228th in 26:50.
That will wrap up the 2023 cross-country season as the runners turn their attention to the indoor track and field season.
