DETROIT (3/30/2023) -- University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball radio voice Dan Hasty was honored with a Merit Award from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters.
The annual MAB Broadcast Excellence Awards banquet will be held on April 29 at the Sound Board in the Motor City Casino Hotel. Those interested in attending

The Titans - who are featured on WLQV 92.7 FM & 1500 AM FaithTalk - were honored in the Network Radio Category for Play-By-Play Sports. The MAB's criteria for the award is "Best locally originated play-by-play live sports coverage of one game with the criteria of presentation and production value."
The winning submission was from Detroit Mercy's win over first-place Cleveland State at Calihan Hall on February 24, 2022.
It is the sixth time the Voice of the Titans has been honored by the MAB and the first as a Titan. Hasty has received five previous awards for his work with the Western Michigan Whitecaps.
