DETROIT (9-24-23) - It was better late than never as sophomore
Abbey Lodato connected on a clutch free kick goal in the 88th minute giving Detroit Mercy a 1-0 #HLWSOC win over visiting Green Bay on Sunday afternoon at Titan Field.

Jazmine Scott posted her second shutout of the season making two saves while facing 14 shots. Detroit Mercy (4-5-3, 2-2 HL) posted 20 total shots with six on goal.
With time winding down in the second half, Lodato made a hard charge to the goal at the top of the box and drew a foul. She then stepped up for the ensuing free kick and bent the ball around the defensive wall to the far right post beating Green Bay (0-7-2, 0-3 HL) goalkeeper Payton Lang to secure the win snapping the Titans' two-game slide.
Detroit Mercy travels to Robert Morris for a #HLWSOC match on Saturday, Sept. 30 at 12 p.m.
