Men's Basketball Horizon League Schedule Revealed

INDIANAPOLIS (9/4/2024) -- The Horizon League docket is now set for the University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball team, as the Titans will open the HL slate at home in the first week of December.

After Detroit Mercy plays three of its first nine games on the road in the non-conference schedule, UDM will open conference play in historic Calihan Hall on Dec. 5 against Purdue Fort Wayne and Wright State on Dec. 7.

Two more conference games will be played around non-league contests in December as the red, white and blue travel to NKU on Dec. 18 and Youngstown State on Dec. 29.

As the calendar turns to 2025, the Titans will begin the year at home with Robert Morris on Jan. 2 and Milwaukee on Jan. 4.

Four of the next five games will be on the road as Detroit Mercy heads to IU Indy (Jan. 9) and Purdue Fort Wayne (Jan. 11) before the Metro-Series rival Oakland comes to Calihan Hall on Jan. 18. The squad then heads back on the bus to Cleveland State (Jan. 22) and Wright State (Jan. 25) before finishing January at home against NKU on Jan. 30.

February starts with Green Bay at home on Feb. 1 before heading to Robert Morris on Feb. 5. Youngstown State (Feb. 8), IU Indy (Feb. 19) and Cleveland State (Feb. 21) will close out the home slate, while games at Oakland (Feb. 16), at Green Bay (Feb. 27) and at Milwaukee (Mar. 1) will close out the regular season.

The opening rounds of the Barbasol Horizon League Basketball Championships will start on Mar. 4 and Mar. 6 at home sites, while the semifinals and championship games are set for Mar. 10-11 at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum in Indianapolis on Mar. 10-11

The Titans non-conference was set a few weeks ago as Detroit Mercy opens the year at home versus Cleary on Nov. 4. UDM will also host Niagara on Nov. 10 and Toledo on Nov. 16, while road games will be at Loyola (Nov. 7), at Ball State (Nov. 20), at Wake Forest (Nov. 23), at Davidson (Dec. 14) and at Wisconsin (Dec. 22) as well as an in-season tournament at the Jacksonville Classic from Nov. 26-27, with opponents still to be determined.
