Quinn Tews made five saves as Detroit Mercy put forth a valiant effort but fell 2-0 to Cleveland State in #HLMSOC action on Saturday night at Titan Field.

Adam Clarke, who spent the last four seasons with the team and will graduate from high school in the Spring.
Cleveland State (5-2-5, 3-0-3 HL) took a 1-0 lead off a counterattack in the 15th minute.
Detroit Mercy (5-7-2, 2-3-1 HL) had four corner kick chances in the game, with three coming in the first half, but could not capitalize to trail at the half.
CSU had 10 total shots in the second half, but Tews and the back line stood tall over the first 23 minutes. However, the Vikings finally broke through with their second tally in the 59th minute to take a 2-0 advantage.
The Titans pressed the attack down the stretch and had two free-kick chances just outside the box, but were unable to get on the board.
Detroit Mercy travels to IU Indy on Saturday, Oct. 25, at 5 p.m.
