Jasmine Edwards, who posted 16 points on 7-for-9 shooting, while junior
Makayla Jackson also scored 16 points on 6-for-15 shooting with seven boards and three assists as the Titans outlasted IU Indy, 74-69, on Sunday afternoon at Calihan Hall. With the win, the Titans moved to 2-0 in #HLWBB play for the third consecutive season.

Nisea Burrell scored 13 points on 4-of-9 shooting with six rebounds and a team-high three steals, while graduate student
Aaliyah McQueen also had 13 points with four boards, a steal, and a block.
Freshman Naïma Diawara had a breakout all-around game, scoring eight points on 3-of-6 shooting with three assists, two rebounds, and a pair of steals, while sophomore
Anna Lassan chipped in with six points.
Detroit Mercy (3-5, 2-0 HL) dominated the glass, grabbing 16 offensive rebounds, which led to a 19-5 second-chance points advantage over IU Indy (3-6, 0-2 HL) while scoring 44 points in the paint, which proved to be the difference in the game.
The Titans used a 10-0 run in which Diawara scored the last five points, putting UDM up eight points at the end of the first, 21-13.
Halfway through the second quarter, Detroit Mercy went on an 11-1 run to move ahead 40-28. However, the Jags responded with a 6-0 spurt to close out the frame, cutting the Titans' lead to six points, 40-34, at the break.
IU Indy then opened the third on a 14-5 run to retake the lead at 48-45 and went on to outscore UDM 16-9 overall to lead 50-49 going into the fourth.
Jackson opened the fourth quarter with a quick five points off a jumper and a 3-pointer, followed by a 3-ball from McQueen to cap off an 8-0 run giving the UDM the lead for good at 57-50. The Titans were able to keep the Jags at bay down the stretch from the free-throw line with under a minute to go. UDM outscored IU Indy 25-19 in the frame, shooting 7-for-14 (50.0%) from the field and 9-for-14 (64.3%) from the charity stripe to secure the win.
