LOUISVILLE (10/3/2026) -- Graduate senior Joshua Otten led the way again, and two other Titans tallied top-40 finishes as the University of Detroit Mercy men's cross country team ran at the  25th Annual Swags Louisville Cross Country Classic on Saturday.

UDM registered 291 points for ninth place in the 8k Gold Race at E. P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park.

Otten crossed the finish line in 24:13 for 12th overall, the second-best time ever for a Titan at Louisville. It was also 35 seconds faster than his previous course run.

Junior Christopher Russelburg tallied a career-best 24:49 for 36th, just ahead of sophomore Colin Murray's 24:49 for 37th. Both are in the top seven all-time for UDM harriers at Louisville.

Sophomore Avan Hinkle recorded a career-best 25:46 for 119th, and junior Caleb Wynn clocked a career-low 25:47 for 121st.

The red, white and blue will now get ready for its final regular-season event when it competes in the Canisius Alumni Classic on Oct. 17.
