Titans Sweep Milwaukee For Third Straight Win

DETROIT (2/20/2026) -- Sophomore TJ Nadeau scored 25 points and senior Orlando Lovejoy netted 24 as the University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball team caught fire in the second half for a 91-86 sweep of the Milwaukee Panthers on Friday night.

The win was the third in a row for the Titans as they moved to 13-13 on the season and 10-7 in the Horizon League, where they are still in the hunt for a home playoff game.

Nadeau was 8-of-14 from the floor and a career-tying 6-of-10 from three, and Lovejoy was 7-of-13 overall and a perfect 10-of-10 at the charity stripe with seven rebounds and four assists. Senior Legend Geeter registered 19 points, eight rebounds, and four assists, while redshirt sophomore Tyler Spratt added 13 points, three rebounds, two helpers, a block, and a steal.

UDM was down 48-39 late in the first half, but Nadeau hit a three to make it 48-42 at the break.

In the second half, Detroit Mercy put the offense on another level, going on a 27-14 run for a 72-62 lead. UDM made 12-of-18 from the field and 4-of-6 from three during that charge.

Nadeau put the red, white, and blue up initially, 55-53, with a triple, but the Panthers jumped back in front at 60-57. That is when Lovejoy had back-to-back baskets, and Nadeau drilled another from long range and a 64-60 advantage with 12:14 left. Geeter and Nadeau then went back-to-back from behind the arc, and Lovejoy was able to get inside for a bucket for the 72-62 score with 9:03 remaining.

Milwaukee (11-18, 7-11 HL) was able to trim it to two, 80-78, with 2:30 left, but the Titans were 8-of-8 at the line the rest of the way to get the win.

Junior London Maiden registered seven points, and sophomore Ryan Kalambay had six rebounds and a pair of blocks.

Detroit Mercy shot 53.6% from the field, including 60.0% (15-of-25) in the second half. The Titans were also 10-of-21 from three and 21-of-26 (80.8%) at the free throw line.

UDM will now look to extend its winning streak to four in a row when it hosts Green Bay on Senior Day Sunday. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m., with the Titans honoring their senior class before the game and the 2026 Hall of Fame Class at halftime.
