Edwards Records 10th Double-Double as No. 11 Titans Conclude Season with Setback at No. 1 Green Bay 2026 Barbasol #HLWBB Championship First Round

GREEN BAY, Wisc. (3-4-26) - Graduate student Jasmine Edwards closed out her amazing final season in a Detroit Mercy uniform, posting her 10th double-double, scoring a team-high 17 points on 8-for-15 shooting, connecting on her first Titan career 3-pointer, while grabbing a game-high 12 rebounds. Junior Makayla Jackson also reached double figures with 13 points on 5-of-10 shooting as the No. 11 seed Titans couldn't recover from a late second-quarter run in an 81-57 season-ending setback at No. 1 seed Green Bay in 2026 Barbasol #HLWBB Championship first round action on Wednesday night at the Kress Center.

Graduate student Aaliyah McQueen added eight points, going 2-for-4 from long range, ending her collegiate career scoring 606 points at Detroit Mercy (7-24) for an overall career mark total of 1311.

Sophomore Anna Lassan chipped in with six points while graduate student Kailee Davis had five points. Graduate student Nisea Burrell dished a team-high five assists with two points while senior Allison Basye, freshman Naïma Diawara, and sophomore Addisen Mastriano all had two points each.

Both defenses were in full lockdown mode to open the game, with Green Bay (23-8) leading 4-0 by the media timeout at the 6:01 mark. Davis hit a 3-pointer to put the Titans on the board. UDM was down 10-4 and closed the gap to 15-13 with an 8-5 spurt before the Phoenix for a buzzer-beater jumper to lead 17-13 at the end of the first.

After GB opened the second quarter with an 8-2 run, McQueen hit a jumper, followed by a 3-pointer from Jackson, and another 3-pointer from McQueen to cap off an 8-0 run pulling UDM within two points, 25-23 at the 4:23 mark. However, Green Bay answered in a major way with a 19-2 run to lead 44-25 at the break.

In the second half, Detroit Mercy continued to battle and was only outscored 18-14 in the third quarter and 19-18 in the fourth, but in the end, the halftime deficit was too large for the Titans to overcome.
