2015-16: Finished the season with five wins and a 5-9 record in singles play… Went 4-4 in the Horizon League, playing mostly from Nos. 5 and 6… Tallied a 4-8 record in doubles during the season, including a 1-6 mark in league action… Recorded back-to-back singles wins against Milwaukee’s Dana Shannon and Green Bay’s Samm Pederson… Won three straight doubles matches while playing with Valeryia Kulikovskaya against Northwestern-Ohio, Akron and Milwaukee.
2014-15: Third on the team with a 15-15 record, including 5-2 in the Horizon League, playing mostly at No. 5 and No. 6... Was 11-10 in dual play, including 6-6 at No. 5 and 5-4 at No. 6… Four of her five conference wins were by straight sets with the other one a thrilling, 1-6, 6-1, 6-4, victory over UIC’s Bianca Zuzu... Added another 13 wins in doubles going 5-1 in the Horizon League… Teamed with Nino Sujashvili for a 6-3 win over Youngstown State’s Annina Brendel and Nehel Sahni at No. 2 in the HL Championship… Played with Irina Slizovskaya for a 6-2 triumph over Oakland’s Camile Hemond-Hill and Cam Sabourin, at No. 1… A big win in the HL Championship quarterfinals as she defeated Princess Gbadamosi, 6-4, 6-2, at No. 5… Cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 win over Valparaiso’s Michele Fredlake at No. 6, and a 6-2, 6-3 triumph over Oakland’s Theresa Elder at No. 5… Started the HL season with a dominating 6-2, 6-0 victory against Green Bay’s Rachael Menos at No. 6 and a 6-1, 6-3 decision over Milwaukee’s Christina Colarossi at No. 5… Ousted Northern Iowa’s Sydney Wolfe, 6-2, 6-4, at No. 6… Recorded two big regional wins knocking off Bowling Green’s Sydney Seeley, 6-0, 6-0, and Eastern Michigan’s Remu Sharma, 6-3, 6-4, at No. 6… Tallied four wins in singles and another in doubles in the fall… Cruised past UIC’s Melika LeBlanc, 6-3, 6-4, and IPFW’s Sofia Sorokina, 6-2, 6-3, at the Bowling Green Invitational…Won the B flight at the Rocket Invite by going 2-1 with wins over Carlota Trevino of IPFW, 6-3, 7-5, and Duquesne’s Zuzanna Stelmaszak, 6-1, 6-0.
2013-14: Named to the All-Horizon League Second Team for the first time in her career... Dealt with injuries throughout dual-match season, but finished 6-9 overall in singles and 6-8 in dual-match season... Was 3-7 at No. 1 singles and 3-1 at No. 2... Went 2-4 in HL singles match going 2-3 at No. 1 and a loss at No. 2... Freshman recorded first collegiate singles victory vs. Chicago State (1/24) with 7-6(4), 4-6, 10-4 win at No. 1... After that first singles win, went on to win three straight matches with wins over Dayton (1/26), Butler (2/2), and Toledo (2/9)... Closed out HL slate with No. 1 singles wins vs. Valparaiso (4/12) and vs. Oakland (4/19)... Was also 6-8 overall in doubles and 5-5 in dual-match play... Most played No. 1 doubles finishing 5-3 at No. 1... Posted 2-1 mark in HL doubles, all at the No. 1 position... First collegiate doubles win came vs. Dayton (1/26) with 6-0 win at No. 1 spot with Nino Sujashvili... Recorded HL doubles wins in No. 1 spot vs. Cleveland State (3/29) and vs. UIC (4/11).
Prior to Detroit: According to Tennis Europe, was ranked as high as 42nd in U-14... In 2009, was ranked as high as 49th by Tennisrecrutiting.net... Had the chance to play in the US while practicing at a tennis academy in South Carolina... In 2010 qualified for the main draw of one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world, the 40th Banana Bowl in Brazil... Had the opportunity to play in one circuit tournament and qualified for the main draw where she defeated top 500 WTA member 6-4, 6-3, then dropped her second match to WTA 400 member Mailen Auroux.
Personal: Daughter of Svetlana and Sergery Laskutova... Has one younger sister, Ksenia Laskutova, who also plays tennis... Born in Moscow, Russia… A Business and Management major.
