2016: Saw action in six races on the season and scored in five of them, four of those as the number two Titan… Just the 22nd harrier in school history to compete in four NCAA regional championships… Posted a time of 27:55 for 64th at the National Catholic Championship… Ran 26:12 for eighth at the Canisius Alumni Classic… Second on the team at the Horizon League Championship taking 24th overall in 26:53… Closed out his career with a 33:39 for second on the team and 148th at the 10 NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championship… Earned the Academic Excellence Award, achieved by recording at least a 3.0 GPA for every semester that they have participated in college athletics… A member of the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and the Horizon League Fall and Spring Academic Honor Roll… Also tabbed to the HL All-Academic Team… Selected the Student-Athlete Award winner at the annual team banquet…
2015: Scored in five of his six races on the year and consistently lowered his time in the 8k… Started the season with a 21:15 for 12th at the Running Fit-Detroit Titan Invitational… Took over a minute off his previous course mark in clocking a 25:52 for 42nd at the Greater Louisville Classic… Posted his career 8k low of 25:50 to take 15th at the Canisius Alumni Classic… Just missed a personal record placing 21st at the Horizon League Championship in 25:53… The second Titan in at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championship registering a 33:21 10k time for 128th… A member of the Detroit Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and the Horizon League Fall & Spring Academic Honor Roll.
2014: Earned the Coach's Award... Ran in six of Detroit’s seven races missing only the 28th Annual Running Fit-Detroit Titan Invitational due to injury… Helped Detroit seal its second-straight Horizon League Championship taking 23rd at the league meet, shaving 51 seconds for his new PR, but most importantly, he was able to stay in front of the Milwaukee fifth man to clinch the title for Detroit… UDM was trailing Milwaukee by four points, 34-30, with four runners in, but he was able to make up the difference and a little more in taking 23rd, while the Panthers' fifth man was 29th, giving the Titans the six points they needed for the victory… Recorded a 10k career best of 33:03 for 152nd at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championship… Earned 80th at the National Catholic Championship in 27:49… Placed 24th at the Canisius Alumni Classic in 27:17… A member of the Detroit Athletic Director's Honor Roll and the Horizon League Fall & Spring Academic Honor Roll.
2013: Tabbed the Most Improved Runner at the annual team banquet… Ran in all eight races and was part of the scoring five six times… Earned Second Team All-Horizon League with an eighth-place finish at the HL Championship in 26:18… Part of the UDM top 150 at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championship taking 132nd in 33:31… Set his 8k career time of 26:16 for 24th at the National Catholic Championship… Placed 13th at the Penn State National in 27:41 and was 14th at the 27th Annual Running Fit-Detroit Titan Invitational with a time of 21:43…A member of the Detroit Athletic Director's Honor Roll and the Horizon League Fall Academic Honor Roll and the HL Fall Academic All-League Team.
2012: Redshirted and did not run in any races… Earned a place on the Detroit Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
High School: Ran cross country and track and also played basketball at Reading High School...Named the Athlete of the Year as a senior…Earned All-State three times and All-Conference seven times…Helped his team to back-to-back regional titles in 2011 and 2012 as well as state runner-up finish in 2011…Took ninth overall as a senior in the Michigan D 4 cross country championships... In 2012, he came in fifth in the 800-meters and qualified in the 1600m and with the 4x800 and 4x400m relay teams...As a junior, he was fifth again in the 800m and helped the 4x800m squad capture fourth place...In 2010, he qualified for both the 1600m and the 800m, while running a leg on the seventh-place 4x800m and individually qualifying for the 3200m in his freshman season…A member of the National Honor Society.
Personal: Son of Toby and Janice Wigent... Has two older sisters (Jordan and Jennifer) and an older brother (Jason)… Majoring in Business.
