High School: Lettered in cross country and track in high school… As a senior, he was a cross country state qualifier for a program that was regional runner-up… In track, he scored in the 1600-meters and was on the regional championship quartet in the 4x800 and 4x400-meter relay as a senior… He also ran on the regional 4x800m first-place team in 2012 and 2013 and that same event saw him qualify for the states in 2011 and took ninth at the state championship in 2012 and 10th in 2014… He also scored in the regionals in the 800m and 1600m as a freshman and sophomore.
