University of Detroit Mercy Athletics

Prior To Detroit Mercy:

• Suited up in varsity basketball, golf, cross country, track and field, ball hockey, and volleyball
• Played clubs with Team Nova Scotia, Team PEI, Jr. Thunderbirds. Played Junior A Box with the Saint John Rapids and currently represents the Orangeville Northmen in the OJLL. 
• Led Team PEI in goals at the 2022 Nelson Cup, 2022 Canada Games, and the 2023 Vermont Classic. 1st Team All Star at 2023 U20 Team Canada Development Camp. 
• The first male PEI lacrosse player to go to the NCAA, the first PEI player to go Division I, and the second player in Atlantic Canada to go DI.
• Helped Saint John Rapids to back-to-back final appearances in the ECJLL finals and a Founders Cup in 2024 and 2025
• Finished 2024 ECJLL box season receiving Rookie of the Year (first ever PEI born player to receive a league accolade) with second in league goals and seventh in  points
• Finished 2025 ECJLL box season receiving Offensive Player of the Year and First Team All-Star after recording a league-high 64 goals and 97 points, 7th All-time for most goals in a single season (averaging a hat trick per game).
• 2024 Sport PEI Junior Athlete of the Year Finalist and 2025 Sport PEI Junior Athlete of the Year
• Also helped his volleyball team to a provincial championship three times, and was a provincial All-Star Award in volleyball and basketball

Personal:

• Son of Chanda and Brad Bissett
• Has a younger sister
• Chose Detroit Mercy because of the athletics, academics and resources
• A Biology major
