Keith Chartrand

Keith Chartrand joined the Detroit Mercy Department of Athletics as a marketing and promotions graduate assistant in August 2016. He is entering his third season with the Titans in the 2018-19 school year.

Chartrand assists in the marketing and promotional activities of all 19 NCAA Division I athletic programs. He helps with gameday promotional and fan engagement at all home athletic events. Chartrand is in charge of all marketing and promotions for men's and women's soccer, women's lacrosse and softball.

In addition, he has assisted with the planning efforts for the highly-successful Field Trip Days, which have brought in more than 7,000 total in the past women's basketball two seasons. The 2017 Field Trip Day was the third-highest attended women's basketball game at Calihan Hall with 4,127 fans from more than 35 local schools in attendance.

Chartrand was the lead director for several basketball games at the end of the 2017-18 season and was the main marketing contact for Detroit Mercy athletics from February 2018 through June 2018. He is also in charge of the Titan mascot, Tommy Titan, and Kid's Club programs within the department.

Prior to joining the Titans, he worked for two years as a marketing and ticketing intern with his alma mater Central Michigan. He also worked with the Battle Creek Bombers, a summer college baseball league, as a marketing, event management, and sales intern.

Chartrand has also volunteered his time with the Special Olympics of Michigan in 2014 and 2015. 

Originally from Livonia, Mich., and a graduate of Churchill High School, he earned a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Sports Management from Central Michigan University in 2015 and is currently pursuing his MBA from Detroit Mercy.
