Anthony Maxwell joined the staff as a graduate assistant before the start of the 2019-20 season.
Maxwell comes to the University after spending last year as the director of basketball operations at Tennessee-Martin. Prior to that, he was an assistant coach with Texas Permian Basin from 2016-18, helping the program record a pair of 26-win campaigns, the first two NCAA appearances in school history and a run to the Sweet 16 in 2017-18.
He played college basketball for two years at Centralia College and also for two seasons at Central Washington. He was also an assistant student coach for Centralia College and helped that team to a 21-10 campaign in 2012-13, its best record since 1985.
A native of Spanaway, Washington, he graduated from Central Washington with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2016 and is currently pursuing his master in Intelligence Analysis.
