University of Detroit Mercy Athletics

Max Bent

Max Bent joined the Titan men's basketball program as a graduate assistant in the summer of 2017.

"I'm very pleased about the addition of Max Bent to our program and look forward to his contributions over the next two seasons,” said head coach Bacari Alexander. “Max worked tirelessly over the years in Ann Arbor under a great program led by John Beilein, and to attract a graduate assistant of his caliber is very exciting."

No stranger to coach Alexander and Titan assistant coach Pete Kahler, Bent worked as a student manager for the University of Michigan men’s basketball program the last four years, serving as head manager as a senior.

His duties included breaking down game and practice film, scouting future opponents, and assisting the coaches, players and support staff in day-to-day basketball activities. He performed tasks with the Director of Basketball Operations, Director of Player Personnel, Video Analyst, and Graduate Manager.

Bent was also a camp counselor for the John Beilein and U-M basketball camps.

A native of Comstock Park, Michigan, he graduated from Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and is currently pursuing a master degree in Master in Liberal Studies at Detroit Mercy.
