Sydney Devore joined the Detroit Mercy men's and women's Cross Country programs as a volunteer coach for the 2022 season.
Devore is a graduate of the University of Florida, where she was a 2009 All-SEC Freshman selection.
She has several accomplishments in her running career, including wins at the 2018 Pittsburgh Marathon and the Glass City Marathon in 2022. Her time at Glass City is a course record. Devore is also a two time Olympic Trials Qualifier in the Marathon.
Devore comes to Detroit Mercy with prior experience in the coaching ranks with McKridy Trained since 2019. She hails from Lakeland, Florida and currently resides in Ferndale, Michigan.
