2025:

A great rookie season as he ran in all six meets, leading the team twice and placing in the top two in all six races, earning All-Horizon League Second Team
Had a pair of top-10 finishes, four in the top 20, and all six in the top 60, while breaking the rookie 8k and 10k marks
Started the year, placing fifth at Oakland's Golden Grizzly Open in 15:11
Broke the school's 8k freshmen record at Notre Dame's National Catholic Invitational, as his time of 24:44 was good for 13th in the race
Lowered his freshman record to 24:40 at the Swags Louisville Cross Country Classic for 44th, the best rookie time and the third-best time ever for a Titan at the event
Claimed sixth at the Canisius Alumni Classic in 25:09, the best by a freshman on the course in school history and the fifth-best overall tally at Canisius
Again broke his own freshman mark at the HL Championships, taking 12th in 24:17, the best time by a true freshman in the race and the third-best 8k in school history
Led the way with a time of 31:48 for 60th at the NCAA Great Lakes Regionals, the second-best finish by a freshman in school history at the regionals, as well as the best 10k time by a freshman in school history and seventh overall by a Titan

Prior To Detroit Mercy:

A four-year letterwinner in cross country and track
Tabbed All-State in cross country three times, finishing 25th as a sophomore, ninth as a junior, and fourth as a senior
Was also a three-time All-Catholic and All-Press & Guide in cross country, including first-place finishes at the regionals and the Catholic League Championships as a junior and senior
Was All-State five times in track, including back-to-back in the 1,600 and 3,200 meters as a junior and senior, and on the 4x800 as a sophomore

Personal:

Son of Patricia and Guy Murray
His dad is the current cross country and track and field coach, ran cross country and track for the Titans, and was the 1989 President's Award winner
His mom ran cross country and track at Eastern Michigan
Has an older sister, Kaitlin, who ran cross country and track for the Titans from 2019-2023
Has a cousin who runs cross country and track at Loyola Chicago
Chose Detroit Mercy because he has been around the campus since he was a kid, and it felt like an excellent opportunity to run here too
