Nick Tobianski

    Graduate Assistant Fencing Coach
Tobianski begins his third year in 2011-12 as a graduate assistant with the men's and women's fencing teams. A graduate of Central Michigan with a bachelors degree in Sports Medicine, he also has a masters degree in Sports Medicine from the University of Virginia. He is currently pursuing a Physician Assistant masters degree at UDM.

He currently works at the Henry Ford Hospital Department of Orthopedics and also works on the UDM campus as a teaching assistant for graduate level anatomy and cadaver lab.

Tobianski previously worked as an athletic trainer for the United States Fencing Association in major North American and International tournaments. He also was an athletic trainer on the USA National Fencing Teams for five World Championships from 2005-09 in Austria, South Korea, Turkey, Italy, and Northern Ireland.

A native of Sterling Heights, he went to high school at Immaculate Conception in Warren. Tobianski played soccer at Central and has participated in Olympic Weightlifting, hockey, and also fencing throughout high school and college.
