James Scane joined the Titans as a graduate assistant in the fall of 2021.
Scane was apart of a staff that led Detroit Mercy to three ASUN victories in 2024. The Titans defeated Queens, Lindenwood, and Bellarmine, while Luke Majick was named the Atlantic Sun's Midfielder of the Year. Also earning ASUN honors was Sean Donahue, who was named to the All-Freshman team. Between the pipes, junior goalie Ryan Richters was third in the nation in saves per game in 2024.
The 2023 season saw the Titans earn ASUN victories over Lindenwood and Robert Morris, while Drew Kessenich was named to the Atlantic Sun All-Freshman team.
In his first season apart of the staff, the Titans finished 2022 with victories over VMI and Cleveland State. Brett Erskine and Paul Manuszak were named ASUN All-Academic.
Scane played five years for Robert Morris as a midfielder, helping the team win the NEC twice and advancing to a pair of NCAA Tournaments.
He posted three goals and six assists in his career, playing in 42 career games.
A native of Clarkston, Michigan, he prepped at Brother Rice.
He graduated from RMU with a degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology and is currently pursuing his MBA.
