    Volunteer Men's Soccer Assistant Coach
Doug Cardosi joined the University of Detroit Mercy men's soccer staff as a volunteer assistant coach working primarily with the goalkeepersĀ prior to the 2021 fall season. He enters his first season with the squad in 2021.

Cardosi has three decades of coaching experience, beginning at the high school level in his hometown of Barrington, Illinois in 1990. He has coached at several levels in both men's and women's soccer and most recently with Palatine Celtic Soccer Club from 2010-19 and now with Royal Oak Football Club since 2019.

His goalkeeper coaching experience includes with the women's program at DePaul, men's and women's programs at Concordia University and with Dominican University from 2007-12. He was the goalkeepers coach with Palatine Celtic from 2007-19,Ā Royal Oak FC since 2019 as well as Michigan Wolves.

CardosiĀ also was the director of the PAWS Goalkeeper Academy for nearly two decadesĀ starting in 2003 and has beenĀ a United Soccer Coaches instructor since 2013.

A native of Barrington, Illinois, Cardosi played collegiately at Kishwaukee College in Illinois. He holds a NSCAA Advanced National Goalkeeper Diploma as well as a USSF "B" License.
