Tommy Bowman joins the Titan men's soccer staff as a student manager for the 2017 season. Bowman handles many of the video coordination for the program, among other duties.
Bowman was named Team MVP in his final season after a standout senior year. The four-year letter-winner was voted to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team and the Horizon League Men's Soccer All-Academic Team in his final year in 2016.
He was one of two Titans to start in all 17 matches and led the team in minutes played (1,458) and assists (two), while ranking second in goals (three), points (eight), shots (29) and shots on goal (12). In Horizon League-only games, tied-for-fifth in goals (three), tied-for-seventh in goals per game (0.33) and tied-for-ninth in points (seven).
Bowman earned the Athletic Department's Larry Bleach Award in 2015, given to a male and female student-athlete who sets the strength and conditioning standards for other student-athletes to follow.
He attended Seaholm High School in Birmingham, where he earned four varsity letters. He ranked up a career total of 33 goals and 19 assists for the Maples.
