Trevor Klump

Trevor Klump joined the University of Detroit Mercy Strength and Conditioning staff as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning coach in October 2014.

He oversees designing and implementing the strength and conditioning programs for the women's lacrosse, men's and women's soccer, and the men’s and women’s tennis teams. He has also worked directly with the men's basketball, softball, and the men’s and women’s golf programs, implementing their strength and conditioning programs. Trevor also serves as the internship coordinator and runs the departments social media accounts.

Prior to his appointment at Detroit Mercy, Trevor spent three years (August 2011-October 2014) at the University of Michigan, first as a volunteer Strength and Conditioning coach and then for two years as a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning coach. He worked with Olympic sports such as men's and women's track and field and men's gymnastics. Trevor also received the NSCA Student Assistantship Award for 2014 at Michigan, working under mentor Mike Favre.

His certifications include being a Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), Sport Performance Coach certified through USA Weightlifting, Precision Nutrition Level 1 certified (Pn1), as well as American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED and First Aid certified.

Klump earned his Master's degree from Eastern Michigan University in August 2014 in Exercise Physiology. He earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science at Grand Valley State University. Trevor and his wife, Savannah, currently reside in Westland.
