University of Detroit Mercy Athletics

Dean Haddad, a longtime Titan fan and supporter of Detroit Athletics, was named the new UDM Pep Band Director in September of 2010. 

Haddad is a saxophonist who has been performing professionally around the Detroit Metro area since 1986. He is also a retired elementary school teacher from the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board, a position he held for for 30 years. 

Haddad graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jazz Studies from Wayne State in 1991 and received his teaching certificate in 1993.  He has a son named Cade.
