2018
  • Suited up for all 16 games with 10 starts and was fifth on the team with 22 points on 11 goals and a career-high 11 assists
  • Scored two goals with an assist against No. 19/RV Marquette
  • Posted a hat trick with three goals versus Bellarmine
  • Had a goal and an assist against Air Force
  • Tallied two assists and a goal against Quinnipiac
  • Set a career high with three assists and tied his career best with four points at Manhattan
  • Had a goal in the MAAC Championship semifinals at Monmouth

  • Ended the season with a career-best four goals against Monmouth in the MAAC Championship semifinals earning All-Tournament honors
  • Started the season with a pair of goals at Ohio State
  • Had two goals and an assist versus Mercer
  • Notched two markers against Jacksonville
  • Tallied two assists and a goal against Bellarmine
  • Scored two goals with an assist versus Monmouth in the regular season

2016:
  • Started all 12 games and tied for second on the team with 12 goals and was third with six assists and 18 points
  • His six man-up goals were tied for the team high and sixth most in the MAAC
  • Posted a career-best .644 shots on goal percentage, second on the team, as 29 of his 45 shots were on goal
  • Also tied for sixth on the squad with a career-high 18 ground balls
  • Recorded five multi-point games and three multi-goal contests
  • Netted a career-high three goals with an assist at Mercer
  • Had a goal, assist and three ground balls at #1/2 Notre Dame
  • At the Midwest Classic, he registered a goal and an assist against Bellarmine and a goal versus #19/17 Marquette with a ground ball in each game
  • Tied his career best with four points on two goals and two assists along with three ground balls at Manhattan
  • Found the back of the net twice against Siena
  • Picked up three GB’s and scored a goal against Quinnipiac

2015

  • A great collegiate debut tallying a marker and helper along with a ground ball and caused turnover in the season-opening victory over Ohio State

2014
  • Did not see any action in his rookie season

Prior To Detroit Mercy 
  • Earned three letters in lacrosse at Detroit Catholic Central
  • A finalist for the Warrior Sports Michigan High School Lacrosse Player of the Year
  • A senior captain, he was tabbed First Team All-American, All-State, All-Region, All-Catholic and to the All-Oakland County Dream Team
  • Finished his final season with 52 goals and 34 assists and tallied over 150 goals and 100 assists in his career
  • Was Third Team All-State as a junior
  • Played club with Team Total and was the Offensive Team MVP in 2012
  • He also received the Fine Art Academic Award of Excellence in 2011

Personal
  • Son of Renee and John Gilhooly
  • Has an older sister and a younger brother
  • Had an uncle who played collegiate lacrosse at Villanova and another uncle who played tennis
  • His family has a long history of attending the University, which includes his great grandfather, grandfather, great uncle and uncle
  • Chose Detroit Mercy because it’s a Division I program with great academics, close to home and prior family members and teammates that have attended the University
