AJ Burton

AJ Burton joined the staff as graduate assistant coach in August of 2014 and will serve as the video coordinator for head coach Bernard Scott this ipcoming season. 
 
“I am excited for this opportunity,” said Burton when he arrived on campus. “It was something I was looking forward to since I graduated and I can’t wait to get going and help this team win.”
 
Burton is native of Brown City, Michigan, who concluded his playing career at Rochester College in 2014. He played two seasons with the Warriors, helping the squad to a United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) national championship in 2013. He was also an USCAA Honorable Mention All-American in 2014.
 
He started his collegiate career at St. Clair County Community College and earned the Leadership Award for the Skippers.
 
He has also worked as a camp counselor and as a coach and official for elementary basketball and is a member of the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan (BCAM).
 
He graduated from Rochester College with a bachelor’s degree in sports management and is currently working on his masters in liberal studies at UDM.
