Corey Green joined the University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball staff in August 2016 as a graduate assistant. He enters his second year with the program in 2017-18.
He serves as the Video Coordinator for head coach Bernard Scott's team, among many other duties.
Green came to Detroit Mercy from another Division I women's basketball program in Old Dominion, where he spent multiple seasons with the Monarchs.
"Corey will serve as our video coordinator," Scott said at the time of Green's hiring. "His responsibilities will include helping our staff with scouting videos, producing our recruiting and all-access videos along with much more.
"Corey comes from ODU where he was very hands on with all of their video needs. The experience he gained at ODU will help him be successful here."
Green spent the past three seasons with the ODU women's basketball team in a variety of roles. Most recently he served as the interim Video Coordinator for the 2015-16 season, creating video highlights, coordinating film exchange with other teams and setting up and operating all video equipment at practices and games, among other duties.
He started working with the Monarchs prior to the 2013-14 season and was a student manager and office assistant for the squad. Some of his responsibilities during his time with ODU included working various basketball camps and clinics, assisting with the coordination of travel, assisting in the development of post players and filming games and practices.
A Virginia native, Green graduated from Old Dominion University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management. He is working on a Master's degree at the University of Detroit Mercy.
