Tim Webb was announced as an assistant coach on AnnMarie Gilbert's staff in June 2020. He enters his first season as an assistant coach in 2020-21. Webb has more than 20 years of experience across high school basketball as well as in professional sports.
"I am excited to have Tim Webb join our staff," Gilbert said. "Tim is a Michigan native who has been a head coach and brings a wealth of experience to our program. He is a proven winner. Tim is a strong on-court coach who will oversee our guard development. As we strive to build a championship culture, he will be valuable in helping to strengthen our recruiting ties within the state of Michigan."
Webb spent the past six seasons at Detroit Country Day, helping coach the Yellowjackets to three Class B state championships (2015, 2017, 2018) during his tenure there. Webb was an assistant coach on legendary coach Frank Orlando's staff for the first five seasons (2014-19) before taking over as head coach in the most recent season in 2019-20.
Prior to that, Webb was the head coach for the Auburn Hills Avondale boys program locally from 2005-11, was the athletic director nearby at the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy and was the women's basketball associate head coach at Oakland Community College. He began his coaching career as an associate head coach and athletic director at Pontiac Northern High School in the early 2000s.

"Coach Gilbert is a champion and her vision for this program has brought a new level of excitement to my life as well as the lives of those in the Metro Detroit area. I am excited to have the opportunity to help coach Gilbert cultivate the new era of Titan women's basketball."
Webb has been part of five state championships during his high school coaching career overall -- three with Detroit Country Day and back-to-back Class A state titles as an assistant coach with Pontiac Northern in 2001 and 2002. While at Avondale, Webb was the 2009 Coach of the Year in the Oakland Activities Association conference.
He has helped develop several high-level guards at all levels, including his daughter Kaela, who starred for the Detroit Country Day squads during their state championship runs and joins the Titans for the 2020-21 academic school year after playing two seasons at Providence. Webb played high school basketball with Pontiac Central before starring collegiately at nearby Rochester College, where he helped the Warriors to a national championship in 1997 as an All-American guard.
Along with his coaching background, Webb also has extensive knowledge as a scout, spending time in three different professional leagues in the NBA, WNBA and MLB. Webb was an advanced scout with the WNBA's Minnesota Lynx, the NBA G-League's Bakersfield Jam (a Phoenix Suns squad) as well as in the MLB with the Detroit Tigers, during a time when the organization reached the World Series in 2012.
Webb is a 2000 graduate of Rochester College with a Bachelor of Science degree, focusing on Business Management. He has a Master's degree in Sports Management from Central Michigan University.
