High School
- Earned four letters in cross country and soccer as a prep, helping her team to a league championship as a freshman and senior
- Tabbed All-Region as a junior and was All-League in all four of her seasons on the course
- She also qualified for the state championship as a junior and senior and was Team MVP in soccer as a senior
- A member of the student council, class executive board and National Honor Society

- Daughter of Lisa and Rick Shaw
- Her mom ran cross country and track at Central Michigan and her aunt, Ann, played basketball for the Titans from 1992-94
