Former MAC Offensive Player of the Year Cat Kopchia '24 was added to the women's lacrosse staff as a graduate assistant coach in September of 2025.
Kopchia served as a facilities & operations graduate assistant last year.
As a Titan from 2021-24, she finished her career playing in 54 games and posting 158 points - seventh in school history - Â on 123 goals and 35 assists - sixth in school history in goals and seventh in assists. She also holds the school record with 15 career women-up goals and her 26 free-position markers stand sixth.
She ended her collegiate career with a great senior season, leading the team back to the playoffs and the MAC Championship game. She earned the MAC Offensive Player of the Year and First Team All-MAC after leading the team with a career-high 70 points - seventh in school history - and career-best 62 goals - tied for fifth. She registered five points on three goals and two assists in the MAC Championship semifinals as UDM upset top-seeded Central Michigan - including the game winner with just a few seconds left - and tallied four markers in the title game against Robert Morris.Â
A 2020 graduate of Brighton High School, she was a four-year varsity letter-winner in lacrosse for the Bulldogs and a three-sport athlete, also lettering in field hockey twice and power lifting.
She graduated with a degree in Business and is currently pursuing a MBA.
