Former Titan standout Kelsi Pritchard joins the women's lacrosse staff as an undergraduate assistant coach for the 2017-18 academic season.
Pritchard, a two-time All-Conference midfielder, wrapped up her career as a Titan in 2017 and ranked No. 9 all-time in points (112), eighth with 89 goals and tied-for-fourth in free-position goals (25) at the conclusion of her career.
A team co-captain as a senior, she started 63 of 69 contests in her four-year career and was named the Unsung Hero after her senior season.
The Orillia, Ont. native had her best season as a senior -- tallying career-bests across the board in goals (36), points (44), ground balls (23) and caused turnovers (13). She ranked in the top 100 nationally in 2017 in shot percentage (50.0, 36 goals on 72 shots), ranking 76th overall.
Pritchard became the ninth player in school history to surpass 100 career points, doing so on Senior Day with a career-best five points. She was consistent throughout her career, bettering 12 goals and 18 points in each season as a Titan.
She also earned Detroit Mercy Athletic Director's Honor Roll laurels in each semester eligible and was the only unanimous choice to the ASUNÂ All-Freshman Team in 2014.
Pritchard captured the 2012 President's Award for her local Orillia Club Lacrosse, which is deemed the highest award of the association. She was also a silver medalist in the U19 Ontario Women's Lacrosse Provincials in 2012.
