Lindsay Wright joined the University of Detroit Mercy women's lacrosse coaching staff as a Volunteer Assistant Coach for the 2018-19 season. She'll assist the Titans as they enter their 11th season as a program.
Wright, a native of northern New Jersey, has coached at nearby Birmingham Lacrosse under former University of Michigan women's club lacrosse head coach Jen Dunbar, who runs the Birmingham program. Wright served as the middle school coach, also assisting coaching the Seaholm High School squad.
She has coached with All-American Lacrosse since 2013, teaching lacrosse to players at all grade levels from fourth through 12th grade. Prior to that, Wright was a coach for Boulder Valley Lacrosse in Colorado from 2008-12, assisting with the youth lacrosse programs.
"We are excited to have Lindsay join the coaching staff this year," head coach Megan Callahan '13 said at the time of her hiring. "She comes from a very successful part of the lacrosse world and has had experience in developing and growing the game in non-traditional areas. Lindsay will help out on both ends of the ball this year and bring a new spunk and outlook of the game to our style of play."
Wright is a 2012 graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Arts. She was a three-year All-State player in high school at Northern Valley Demarest High School in New Jersey, leading her team in goals and assists in each season.
