Nick Ostrowski

Nick Ostrowski joined the University of Detroit Mercy women's lacrosse coaching staff for the program's inaugural season in 2009 and helped the Titans post a 5-9 record that included an opening round victory at the National Lacrosse Conference tournament over Presbyterian.

"Nick is a great addition to our staff and will focus his efforts with the goalies," said Meltzer. "I am extremely excited to work with him here at Detroit."

Ostrowski came to UDM after serving as an assistant varsity girl's coach at Marian High School from 2006-08. While in this role, he was in charge of the goalies, as well as the defense.

Ostrowski began coaching at U of D Jesuit High School, where he served as an assistant coach for the boy's varsity squad in 2005. In that season, the Cubs advanced all the way to the state championship game for the first time in school history. The following season, Ostrowski served as the head coach for the JV boy's squad and was in charge of goalie development for the program.

Ostrowski currently attends Oakland Community College where he is majoring in product design after attending Schoolcraft for a year. He graduated from U of D Jesuit, where he played varsity hockey and lacrosse for four years, in 2004.
