Mike Sheehy joined the women's soccer coaching staff in 2012 and just completed his eighth season on the Titan sidelines serving as the goaltender coach.
Since he joined the program, he has coached a pair of Titans who have earned the Horizon League Goalkeeper of the Year in Nora Abolins (2012) and Marina Manzo (2016, 2018). In addition to those awards, Claudia Eustaquio was named to the HL All-Freshmen Team in 2015.
In that time, the Titan keepers have helped the team reach three HL semifinals as well as a visit to the championship game in 2014.
Sheehy is the Force Football Club Goalkeeping Director and is entering his 17th year with the club in 2018.
Mike is a former goalkeeper at Oakland University (1990-93) and also has professional playing experience. He has over 31 years of goalkeeper playing experience across all levels of the game.
Additionally, Mike has over 25 years soccer coaching experience with teams and goalkeepers at the amateur, college and professional levels. He possesses NSCAA State, Regional and National Goalkeeping Coaching Certifications and a USSF National “D” Soccer Coaching License.
Mike owns and operates Five Star Goalkeeping LLC which is a Soccer Goalkeeping Training Service that conducts goalkeeper camps and clinics throughout the state of Michigan.
Throughout his coaching career, Mike has proved to be very successful in helping numerous goalkeepers attain college scholarships for their on and off field performances. He is recognized as one of the leading goalkeeper coaches in the state of Michigan.
Additionally, Mike is a Real Estate Project Manager for General Motors and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oakland University (1995). He also has an MBA in International Business and Finance from Wayne State University (1999).
He is a lifelong resident of Farmington and is heavily involved in the Michigan soccer community.
