Biography

2008-09: Named first team All-Horizon League for the third time in her career after going 7-1 in conference play at both No. 1 singles and doubles…With the honor, she became just the second tennis player in program history to be named all-league in all four of her years as well as just the second player to be named to the first team three times, with former Titan standout Maria Pandele (1998-01) the only player to be named first team all four years…She ended her career as Detroit’s all-time leader in combined wins with 137, while her 71 singles victories are second in school history…On the season, she tallied 35 total wins, all from the No. 1 post…Went 3-0 playing alongside Zeljka Minic at the IPFW Fall Invite to claim the No, 1 doubles flight title… Participated in the 2008 ITA Midwest Invitational in singles and doubles…At the tournament, her and Minic posted an 8-3 win over Amanda Dibbs and Julianna Frey of Eastern Illinois…Won six of her seven conference singles contests via the two-set sweep…Twice named the HL Player of the Week after sweeping a pair of singles and doubles matches against Green Bay and Bowling Green..Followed that three weeks later with straight-set win over Wright State’s No. 1 Karina Presti (6-3, 6-4) at the top singles position after teaming with Minic at No. 1 doubles to defeat the Raider’s top tandem of Masha Peresetsky and Kenisha Webb, 8-6…Dominated Kelly Drvaric of Milwaukee 6-1, 6-1 in the conference tournament…Named the Titan’s MVP at the annual UDM tennis banquet…A member of the AD honor roll.

As a Titan: A highly-decorated senior looking for a solid finish to cap her sterling Detroit tennis career… Already the first UDM player named All-Horizon League in women’s tennis on three occasions… Reached a zenith in 2006 as the first player ever  voted HL Newcomer of the Year and Player of the Year by the conference coaches in the same season… That year, Moore broke the school records for wins by a freshman, and wins by any player on a season, posting 26 victories overall… Won eight of nine Horizon League singles matches that season, all at No. 1… Has been invited to play in the ITA Midwest  Regional Championships each of her four years at UDM… Has been in double figures for singles victories three straight years, and entered 2008- 09 with the third-highest win total (57) in Titan annals… Was also third in career doubles triumphs (45) entering her final UDM campaign.

Personal: As a prep senior, Moore played No. 1 singles and posted an impressive record of 26-2 in leading her team to the MHSAA State Finals… She finished runner-up  individually… Won the state title in the No. 2 singles flight as a junior, after reaching the championship match both of the previous two seasons… Rolled up an impressive career singles record of 112-12 for St. Clair and was the second Saints graduate in as many years (Brooke Beier, Purdue) to sign with a Division I program… An ITA Scholar Athlete in 2006...Majoring in Communication Studies.
